I get comments…from muslims…

Below is Disqus a comment in regards to this post. My comments in blockquotes as usual.

Dear (Friendly) Atheist,
let me ask you a question, okay???
why do u call your mom “Mom”????
Why does she need that term anyway?? why does she need to have an authority over you??

The term “mom” is a description of fact, mainly that she gave birth to me. “Need” has nothing to do with it, obviously. Also my Mom has no authority over me anymore due to the fact that I am an adult (which does not preclude of interfere with all the love and respect I have for her). My life is my responsibility, and mine alone. That is what growing up means, to be independent. This is precisely what religion does not want believers to do, grow up. It is all about being eternally dependent of the imaginary daddy in the sky. No thanks.

If u have brains, then the answer is……Your mother earned that status by giving you birth and raising you up…The status of the Creator is only for God only so only He is worthy of praise and worship.

Non-sequitur (you can look up the definition here). Even if a god existed that does not mean that he would be worthy of praise or worship. Just by looking at islamic doctrine, islamic scripture and the conduct that is derived from these, no reasonable person would conclude that such a god is worthy of anything but contempt, rejection and active opposition. Good thing there is no evidence to believe that the god pushed by muslims is real at all.

God does not need the praises of such big time losers who call them selves (Friendly Atheist) actually God is in no need of our praise and worship……

If an actual all powerful god existed he would have need for nothing, not even creation. The fact that we are here proves that the god of islam does not exist. Of course I expect that the meaning of the previous sentences will be totally lost on you but others my benefit from it still.

it is we who constantly need to praise Him and worship Him so that we can remind ourselves of His blessings for us and obey His command…………..the MOST important purpose is…..
So That We Do Not Become Friendly Atheists……..

It is so sad that you are so insecure about your beliefs that you need constant reminders/reassurance in order to avoid accepting reality. It was well said that:

“Scientists do not join hands every Sunday and sing “Yes gravity is real! I know gravity is real! I will have faith! I believe in my heart that what goes up, up, up must come down, down, down. Amen!” If they did, we would think they were pretty insecure about the concept.”
-Dan Barker

Always remember that:

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away.
-Philip K. Dick

Sorry but your god failed the test and no amount of praise and worship will change that outside of your own head and your steadfast adherence to treating imaginary concepts as if they were real.

Hope u understand…..

I do, it is you that I have doubts on…
Hopefully time, reason, evidence and logic will lead to understanding in the future.

May God help you and guide you.
ameen

Reblogged for awesome. God sounds like an angry, petulant child — not a wise, omnipotent, and benevolent father figure.
